How It All Began
I wasn’t always a photographer. Before 2015, I barely gave it much thought, aside from the occasional phone snapshot while traveling.
But the seed was planted much earlier.
When I was a child, my father loved photography. He traveled often and always came home with stories and 35 mm slides. We would sit together as the room darkened and the images clicked onto the wall, one frame at a time. Different countries. Different faces. Light frozen in moments I had never seen before. I did not know it then, but those evenings stayed with me.
Years later, my wife handed me a real camera before a bucket list trip and said,
“You can’t go to the Galápagos Islands with just an iPhone.”
That simple challenge changed everything. The Galápagos was not just a destination. It was the spark. I came home inspired and hungry to learn. I watched tutorials, practiced relentlessly, and eventually found myself at Scott Kelby workshops, a dream I never expected. Slowly, I stopped just seeing the world and started photographing it with intention, emotion, and awe.
From Traveler to Photographer
After living across Europe and the Middle East for more than 25 years, I’ve had the privilege of exploring over 75 countries. From Norway’s icy fjords to the sun-drenched deserts of the Arabian Peninsula, my camera has been my constant companion.
While I started with landscapes and travel scenes, I’ve since developed a deep connection to wildlife photography.
I strive to capture the world in a way that makes people want to go there.
To me, photography is storytelling. It’s about emotion, connection, and wonder. It’s about helping people experience places they’ve never been, and rediscover places they love.
Sharing the Journey
One of the most rewarding parts of this journey has been teaching others. I love helping photographers—whether absolute beginners or seasoned travelers—unlock the potential of their cameras and their creativity. Through workshops, photo walks, and one-on-one sessions, I create hands-on learning experiences that are practical, inspiring, and fun. Watching someone go from unsure to confident behind the lens is one of my greatest joys.
