Hi Everyone,

It’s been an exciting month! I’m thrilled to share that I’ve just published my second children’s book, Miles and the Magic Camera. This is the start of a new series designed to inspire kids to explore the world through photography. The book is now available on Amazon Kindle, with a hardcover edition coming soon!

In between writing, I’ve been keeping busy with my DC Photography Workshops. I currently offer three experiences: a sunrise monuments workshop, an evening golden hour workshop, and a colorful graffiti walk workshop. I’ve also been leading Lightroom editing workshops to help photographers take their post-processing skills to the next level.

And yes—I’m back on the road! This month’s itinerary includes NYC, London, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, and Germany’s northern coast. Expect plenty of new images and stories coming your way soon.

Grateful for the journey 2025 is shaping up to be. Thanks, as always, for being part of it.

Photography & Tech Gear I Love

My New L-Bracket from Leofoto looks exactly like my Really Right Stuff (RRS) one, but it costs 70% less. I do not see any quality difference.

• What is an L-Bracket? An L-bracket in photography is an L-shaped piece of metal that attaches to the bottom and side of your camera, allowing you to quickly switch between horizontal (landscape) and vertical (portrait) orientations when mounted on a tripod—without shifting the composition or center of gravity.

• Why It’s Useful:

  • Stability: Keeps your camera centered over the tripod, reducing the risk of tipping and improving balance—especially with heavier lenses.

  • Speed: You can rotate your camera 90° without adjusting your tripod head.

  • Precision: Maintains your framing more accurately during orientation changes.

  • Protection: Acts as a partial protective frame around your camera body.

Prograde Memory Cards - after having one of my Sandisk SD cards fail and also one of my Sandisk drives I began searching for other options. I was reading Jeff Cable’s Blog. He shoots the Olympics. He recommended Prograde Cards. I have been using the cards for a few months and love them.
